The Beginning
The entity known today as Bardia Jahan Pouya Holding was founded in 1971 by Haj Ahmad Babakhani.
Haj Ahmad Babakhani established his first trading house and economic enterprise in Kermanshah province with the aim of processing and sorting legumes.
Early Growth and Expansion
In 1976, the first chickpea cleaning and packaging factory was established in Kermanshah province with the aim of improving quality for distribution in domestic markets.
By 1981, Babakhani Trading had expanded its distribution network to cover more than 30 provinces across Iran and had successfully established a strong reputation for its high-quality chickpeas.
International Expansion
In 1981, the company began exporting its flagship product, Kermanshah first-grade chickpeas, under the BABA brand to countries in the Persian Gulf region, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iraq, Pakistan, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
The company continued to grow its international presence, expanding its marketing efforts to introduce Kermanshah first-grade chickpeas to countries in Eurasia and Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
In 2018, Bordiya Jahan Pooya Holding established one of the largest processing, sorting, and packaging units for legumes, dried fruits, grains, and spices in the west of Iran, located in the Shaheed Bahonar Industrial Town of Dowlatabad.
This production unit utilizes the most advanced and sophisticated equipment and machinery from BOHLER Germany and has an annual capacity of 20,500 tons in one work shift.
All imported legumes and dried fruits that are imported in bulk are packaged in 20 to 50 kilogram packages and distributed throughout the provinces of Iran. In addition, our experts procure the highest quality domestic legumes from the best farms in the country and, after sorting and packaging, prepare them for distribution and sale under the company’s brands.
